Hi Everyone,

Just got a 1990yj 6cyl from my dad to take the family out in the desert and get into some trouble.

I know nothing about Jeeps and this one seems to be bone stock so here I am and will need help and look forward being here.

Thanks guys. It's not too shabby, just needs some love but I do have a lot of questions.

Is it easy to convert from a manual to Automatic?

The Carb seems to rough start and stalls easy. Is there a killer fix or upgrade? I read that it's problem for my year.

I want to put 35s and 4.5 lift on it. I will probably need gearing since it seems that the I6 manual has 3.07s for gearing. Is that a good choice of lift and tire size?

Any suggestions on priority of items I should get or things I should do right away to make it great for off road desert or light crawling?
