Will the shift lever and fulcrum parts from a T-5 (5sp manual from an 84 CJ7) fit on the T-176 transmission?
I'm hoping to save some money and swap in the 4sp T-176 sitting in the garage rather than have to spend $$$ on a new input shaft for the T-5. However, all I've got is the transmission. At some point, I had the spring, retainer, and cap for the T-176, but I can't find it, now.
Basic Internet searching looks like I won't be able to do this, however, I thought I'd run it by the experts.
