T-176 Won't go in Reverse.

I have a T-176 4 speed that was working absolutely fine when I took it out with my engine for a rebuild. I have reinstalled the engine, transmission and transfer case. The only problem is the transmission will not go in reverse now. For some reason the shift fork is not pushing the gear forward to engage reverse. Any help will be greatly apreciated

Check the shift fork to the #1 synchro sleeve and make sure it's in the groove not behind it. if i'm not mistaken the 1st gear shift fork is also the reverse.check it anyway.
