Synthetics?

I would like to change the fluids in my differentials and transfer case - but not quite sure if synthetics are the way to go. Mine is a 93 Cherokee with QuadraTrac and 186,000 miles. Not sure when - or even if - the fluids have been changed. The vehicle appears to have had excellent care - just not sure if the former owner even knew what to do and when. Any advice will be appreciated. Thank You. Jeff

Hey Jeff , welcome to Jeepz.com . Although I don't use synthetic in my '92 XJ , mainly because of the difference of price , I see no reason why you cannot. Sure , there's other products on the market , especially on high mileage jeeps like mine and yours . But if your looking to use synthetic , it's. Actually good move since it is said you can get more mileage between changes.
Its been said many times that Redline is a good product and is sworn by , will have to see if the local auto parts chains carry it. But mainly , keeping a good maintenance schedule is tops , as you know. Best of luck to ya ! Greg
