Swapping from CJ7 to JK

Hi everyone

I just joined your forum. I am planning to buy CJ7 and wanted to swap its body and all components with JK. Is it possible?

if yes then I am looking forward to your valuable suggestions.

If no, then which one is best to put on CJ7's Frame.

Are you looking to put a JK body, engine and transmission onto a CJ7 frame? If I remember correctly, the JK is considerably wider than previous versions. I can't speak to if the body mounts would line up.

why not buy a jk then? the tj and yj tubs will go on a cj7 frame, I believe. I know the yj will, for sure, and I believe the tj uses the same mount holes but why put all those new body parts on an ooollllldddddddd frame?

As Terry said, the jk is a lot wider than the cj. Not sure why you'd want to swap bodies ?? If the cj body is rough - there are a lot of repair options.

Just the fact that you had to ask may make it beneficial to have it done by a pro
