Hi. New to the forum.
Just bought a 94 Grand Cherokee 4.0L. Lots of miles so I dont expect much but this thing is solid as a rock!!!
Yesterday on the way home from my purchase, proud of the deal I made, I stopped to fill up. Got a tank of prem and fuel injector cleaner just for good measure. Jumped in fired it up and it died after about 5 feet. Managed to get it running enough to move to the edge of the parking lot and that was it. Cranking is good but seems like it didnt want to fire. I thought water in the gas but read on.....
Left for about 2 hours, came back and she started on the second try. Now its been fine all day. Maybe it got hot cuz I ran it hard right after the purchase to put her through some hard tests but I think not. What is amiss? CPS?
Thanks for the help in advance!

Bad gas maybe?. If it ran fine before and dies all of a sudden after a fill up, it could be that the bad fuel is still mixed around in the tank and when you attempted to start the engine after 2 hours later the crap in the tank was already settled. just a possibility..A mis(Misfire) is when one or more cylinders are not igniting the fuel to burn in the combustion chamber. CPS stands for Camshaft position sensor.
