Steering Gear removal

I have a steering fluid leak coming out of the back of my steering gear. Only problem is I cant get the shaft out of the gear to remove it to see if I can replace seals or have to replace the unit. Anybody have any suggestions on the removal or even about the leak.

You have to take the bolt holding the steering shaft on completely out in order for it to slip off the steering box.
