Spitting sputtering popping?

I have a jeep 4.0 wrangler TJ that's spitting sputtering and popping and cutting off. What's the fix?

Could be any of a number of things. Is the Check Engine light on? Have you had the codes scanned?

not enough information supplied, what did you do that caused it to do this, is it weather specific. is there a CEL on? nore information is needed since the jeep is not here where we can look at it.
