went to poole road in raleigh and had a blast again this weekend.
had my cj7 and two 4 wheelers out,friends had 2 explorers and a xj...but the explorers were too frightened to go down the big bad scary rutted power lines lol.
my buddy did use his xj to come pull me out of a bad spot...unfortunately no pics of it. hit some nasty gray swamp mud and it sucked me in over my fender flares on the drivers side lol. river wasnt too deep this weekend,last weekend it was about a foot deeper and made it a little more fun,but a great time nonetheless!
now that im hooked on offroading im looking to buy a beater jeep already lifted and ready to go...nice and ugly looking to tear thru the terrain more fearlessly and keep this cj as the top down summer cruiser to pick up the ladies with

that's the first place I ever took my jeep out. Trails out there are hard to come by since the construction started.

wasnt alot of terrain i could cover on that side of new hope....where you have to cross i cant get up the other hill to the rest of the trails....too steep/slick. maybe some real mud tires would do the trick
i have seen several other areas to go that look promising-plan on scouting a new one this weekend off davis drive
