Sick 2005 Liberty

Just tried to start her and it makes a wratching sound, I
think it may be starter any suggestions beyond that.

Does it start eventually, and just make a bad sound while cranking, or does it never start?
I'd be tempted to say it's the starter as well. I'm not sure how hard it is to remote on a liberty, but you may pull it and take it to your local parts store and have it tested.

Terry has given you some good advise. I would like to add to check your battery terminals and if they are good and clean try jump starting it from another car. If your Liberty is not a daily driver then the battery can go dead or bad over time.

Thank you for the feedback, I found out that it was the battery that had a 2/17 sticker was actually a Second & the starter was bad.

If I remember correctly the starter is a bear to replace [no working room] at least it was on my stepson's liberty [2003?]
