I just changed mine on my 88 YJ. No special tools but a lot of cursing. If yours are as rusted as mine your in for a long day. the front ones were the worst. I ended up cutting them off. Use a lot of penetrating oil and let it sit for a while. The back ones I had to save the bolts so I could not cut them. I used a torch to heat them. Just make sure you don't heat the shock or it will blow up.[addsig]
