Quick question:
I've had a Rubicon Express 2" budget lift (shocks and spring spacers) installed on my '06 TJ since early '07; put about 30,000 miles on the Jeep since the kit was installed. I have a blown shock on the rear passenger side, just wondered if this about the 'normal' lifespan for these shocks or if something may have happened to damage it. I (unfortunately) haven't wheeled it a whole lot - had a couple trips to Paragon before they closed, a trip to Rausch Creek and a trip last weekend to Green Ridge State Forest. Other than that, the only 'wheeling' if you can even call it that was during the blizzard this past winter when we had 2-3 feet of snow and I played around a bit in 4WD.
Also, I have new shocks sitting and waiting for my new lift kit but I still may be several months away from installing them as I need a few more pieces to complete my lift, so I'm wondering if there is any potential problems that could arise from driving on a blown shock for a few months. Any idea??
