recently out of nowhere the security light came on no it wont start with both keys that i got it from the dealership i tried resetting the self test passlock and nothing.different people told me its the ignition switch ,maybe the computer or the ignition cylinder, and the dealership saits its the keys they need to be reprogrammed any help please really dont want to pay expensive any honest answers thanks

Unless properly diagnosed , all those mentioned are possible culprits. What year and model Jeep?

If you bought it from a dealer, they should warranty it. If not, check around for stereo and alarm install shops that know how to bypass it.

2001 grand cherokee i changed the the ignition switch but still no start

also gauges are not going up

Check to see that no-one pulled any fuses!

After that, wind up all the windows, lock the doors then open them from the passenger's side with the key
