Sahara or Sport

I am looking at getting a TJ eather Sport or Sahara could u tell me if the Sahara has the Dana 44 rear too, i know that the Sports come with Dana 44 in the rear but not sure about the Sahara, and was excatly are the extra things that Sport and Sahara have over the base Wangler

I like the sahara. It's just a beefier look with the fenders. Never liked the box look of the sport. The Sahara will come with a 44 if you don't get ABS. The Sahara comes with pretty much every option and the interior is nicer(who cares). 1 vote sahara from me.[addsig]

Dana 44 is available on sport or saharas... not standard on either.. Sport and sahara are basically just options packages--- the only thing unique to the saharas that you CANT get on any other model is cosmetic stuff-- body color flares, two tone seats etc.

Anyone think jeep is getting kinda crazy on their prices? Almost $30 for a loaded rubicon? They look sweet, but still.[addsig]

fyi when i got my sport last year i special ordered it from the factory because there weren't any with trac lock at any of the dealers around me... I loaded it up with options and then priced a sahara and a sport-- A comparably equipped sport (meaning the exact same jeep except for the sahara cosmetic stuff) was 1300 cheaper than a sahara-- i like the look of the sahara but it wasnt worth that much to me. I found the same thing. My Sport came out a ton cheaper than a Sahara, though I have all the options (4whl discs, trac lock, 7 speaker stereo with sub) that the Sahara comes with, minus the fancy rearview mirror with compass and the other cosmetics. Personally I don't like the body color flares. I'm a newbie, but I just think it would cost more to fix/repaint after a day of fun on the trail.

I do think the prices are insane. Inflation is an SOB If only our wages would increase at the same rate huh? :-D

Just get a Rubi and save yourself alot of time and
heartache ...I know people who just love their Rubi's
but that is just my .02 I have a Sahara and whished I

The only advantage of the Sahara (I own one lol)...is that the fender flares are a little bigger...enableing for more stuff and bigger tires stock.
