Running stock

I was told I can run 31's on my stock 03 "x".
Is that true or was the guy full of it :-?
Any help would be great (not to sure about backspacing etc...)
I just got my new Jeep (had a 95 yj) about 2 weeks ago so I'd rather not lift it right away.
I want to run the biggest tires possible without rubbing or lifting it.

Put in some spacers and I think you can only a little tight. I am not a TJ guy so some one with more info will be along soon! tug[addsig]

I have 31s on my stock '01 Wrnagler SE. No rubbing at all. Hope that helps.[addsig]

31" tires will be fine on stock. Do the 2" budget boost (coil spacers) when you can afford to, nice addition to 31" rubber [addsig]

What are coil spacers?
Is that like the cheap 2 inch to 2.5 inch lift I see in the quadratec catalog?? :-? [addsig]
