does anybody know if a aftermarket rear tube bumper from a 93 yj will fit a 97 tj ?

Just look in a catalog that has the one you want and it will list the years it fits if you know what kind it is. Im assuming you are buying it used? I think the mounting holes are somewhat different for the rear bumpers of YJ's and TJ's but not certain.

It will fit. Be sure to put some reinforcement behind the rear crossmember while you're bolting it up, it bends easily.
