I have been looking for a "How To" on the web to install new gears in my axles... I at least want to look it over to see if I can do it before I shell out 700 bucks for someone else to do it... Does anyone know if there is a site that explains such an install? I was also thinking of getting a Chiltons repair manual, but will that have the gear install in it? I will probably get a chiltons anyways, they are always good to have. Any help would be great, Thanks!

hey... i'd suggest that you take it over to the nearest college that has auto tech. We just got done doing that. You'd need a dial indicator and a micrometer, a press, some of that tester paint, new shims, new collapsable spacers....etc. It's a lot of crap to get into if you want to do it right. I'd really suggest you take it to the college. Plus, they'll do it cheap, if not free. -Mike :-D [addsig]
