I will be heading to Punta Gorda Florida at the end of June and I can't take my jeep :-( Anyone from the area want to show my wife and I the 4x4 fun in the south?

mines 2wd lol but im in that area, if you guys are into marti gras style party (24/7) you should check out the red neck yacht club, its a big party every day, wouldent bring kids with you though, theres lots of flashers and naked/almost naked mud wrestleing, thats all i can think of though lol

most of the offroad scene here is mud bogging, theres a pretty nice place in inglis called horse hole creek that might be worth looking up as well

naked mud wrestling sounds fun. is it open for anyone? the more i think about it, i bet they don't let guys and girls wrestle each other, huh? doesn;t sound as much fun to watch dudes wrestle each other naked. i am not going now

lol no the guys usually sit in their trucks and cheer the girls on, im not gonna lie, its a good time but theres a bit of a problem with underage drinking and an overall lack of security, not a child friendly enviornment

When I get to Florida I'm going to try to get to both spots. I checked out that redneck yacht club online and it looks like a blast. Can't wait.

how is horse hole creek? i hear its nice, quite a drive to get there from here, like 3 or 4 hours, can a 2wd jeeper find some fun there?

You can alway find fun when you are amount Jeepers. The place is a blast. There is something to do foe everyone. I agree that it is a hike for you. I think you will have to stay over night if you ever come up here. Too long of a drive. You can buy tickets for two days and camp on ite. I no longer care to sleep in a tent..... But if you are into that, then it is a option.
