Proper way to dispose of gasoline?

I'm trying to resurrect my boat after sitting for two years, and once I'm done rebuilding the carbs, I'm going to have about 10-15 gallons of old gas left over.

What's the best way to get rid of 15 gallons of gas, without running it in my Jeep, or dumping it out?

I always mix the old gas with new gas 50/50 than use in lawn mower works just fine

I heard a guy of on of the forums once say "Put it in an old gas can you don't want, and leave it next to the drive. Some punks gonna steal it, and learn a lesson as well."

You can probbably pick your least favorite neighbor and draw a line with some of the fuel outside their driveway. Light it up and yell , FIRE!FIRE!FIRE! then hide. So then you accomplished the disposal and had some entertainment as well.:D

You can use it to start the charcoal on the grill.

Actually you can take it to your local fire station for disposal. I would call them first to make sure they do this in your area.

label it "Jeep Universal Solvent" , then get a plastic weed killer spray can and thin your used oil (gear lube and all) enough to spray. then coat the underside every couple months to handle rust. it was done in Europe as well as the US for decades and farmers here still coat farm equipment that sits out for generations.

kerosene is car wash.

I was admiring a mid-50's 1 ton Jeep pick-up restoration in progress on the display floor at the the old time local Jeep dealer here and remarked it didn't leak much for that vintage.

he said "it must be empty"
