Wanting to downsiz from this 360 bored to 408 to a smaller motor but be able to use current transmission. I'm new to projects this big any suggestions on what engine I can use?

is that a dodge or an amc motor?

if its an amc, any of the amc engines from the i6 up to the 401 or 406 fit the transmission bolt pattern.

does it have the displacement on the side of th block in decent size letters? if so, its an amc and you can get a regular 360 or a 304 and drop it in or downgrade to a 258 i6

My next wheels are going to be matte black. I always wanted black and got a shiny alloy set with some chrome around the edge. Then I saw a SWAT truck roll by with a solid matte black and I fell in love. Very bad azz.
