Portable tool batteries

Most of my portable drills and saws are Dewalt brand.
I believe their good tools but the batteries are outragous.
There's someone on E-bay selling replacement batteries with a one year warranty.
There not Dewalt brand but they look identical and their half the price as Dewalt.
Has anyone ever used these batteries?
Just wondering if they are worth ordering.

We've used those knock off ones for a bit. Overall they don't last as long as the dewalt ones, they start to die out about half the time as normal. We were never successful getting a warranty because it still "holds a charge", even though its a half charge.

We got just about a year out of them, with more than average use. Then again, I don't know if they are same ones. Give 'em a go, worst case ya get yerself a dewalt set.

i hate how short a life the batteries have. i wonder if they are building up a memory and thats why they are so short lived.

Draining those batteries down to nothing and then rechargeing them is supposed to strengthen the battery.

I have heard that. My current dewalt batteries are a couple of years old and going good but I bought a drill at a yard sale for 5 bucks and was wanting a 12 volt battery for it. everything else is 18v
