Bounty__Hunter Super Moderator Dec 7, 2010 #3 Do you have the 4.2L 6cyl engine? If so my '88 with the same Peugeot BA10/5 transmission did the same thing. It did fine if I held it in reverse. I think the only fix is a rebuild or replacement of the transmission.
