I’d definitely looks homemade on the upper there are two tack welds any suggestions how to get it back to normal?

Maybe it originally came from something different.
20 yrs ago that joint went bad on my 76 F100 4x4. Unable to find a suitable replacement I took a front axle end [pontiac?] and modified it to fit. Still works good today ;)
