Parking light

Hey guys I'm new here and I have a quick question. Ok so my drivers side parking light is not working so I thought it was the bulb so i replaced it, but apparently it wasn't the bulb. My blinker works which seems strange to me, but the parking light doesn't. Could it be a fuse?

Thanks
Ben

oh forgot to mention its a 2002 Jeep Liberty. If that makes a difference.

I rarely have seen paired light systems run on seperate fuses. I would start with pulling the bulb and checking for power from the power source, if you have power then pull the bulb from the other side and use that as your tester since you know it works. If you do not have power then you need to trace the wire back to the power source. I dont know much about your model but that would be a general test across the board. Im not sure if your bulb uses a dual elimate bulb, if so your prob can be as simple as a bulb replacement.

P.S. Welcome to Jeepz!

I was also wondering: I am in texas and was wondering since the blinker works and the parking light doesnt can i still pass inspection?

sorry you cant pass inspection with a dead parking lamps on one side. on an 02 liberty, you have a junction block and a power distribution center. the junction block is located on the driver side dashboard. open the driverdoor and remove the panel. fuse #23 controls the right side with a 10 amp fuse. #9 controls the left side also with a 10 amp fuse.
