parking light headache

Hello everyone was hoping to get a little help with a light problem. The girlfriend has a 2000 cherokee sport that has been making me crazy and got me an $80 ticket. Drivers side parking/marker lights don't work, pass side is fine. Break lights and headlights all work fine. Blinkers work most of the time. if they dont I put the hazards on and they work fine after a second or two and this problem is very intermittent. I have checked all the fuses i could find, changed the headlight switch. checked and clean all the sockets, checked the bulbs. Used a test light to check the sockets and there is no power going out to these lights. Any input would be great. Thanks

Check the wiring with a test lamp.

My 97 was driving me crazy too. Left lo beam, right turn signal (marker only) weren't working. Ran the test light, voltmeter thing... all tested good. Replaced with good spares listl; headlamps, bulbs, headlight switch, turn-hazard switches, fuses, even hardwired thinking sockets were bad. Retested with test light, volmeter... all still tested good. At witts end. Then traced wiring back to body harness connecter, pulled headlight-grill wiring plug apart, and recconected.... Tada! Fixed it! :x:redface:. Pulled back apart cleaned both sides of connecter, no problems since.
