Paint my hard top

Just bought a hard top for the YJ and need to paint it. As it is fiberglass how do I clean it to make ready to paint??:shock:

Just bought a hard top for the YJ and need to paint it. As it is fiberglass how do I clean it to make ready to paint??:shock:

If you want the factory surface just wash it well or use TSP to clean it. Let dry well, then primer and paint. If you want a smooth surface, sand it, primer, sand it, primer (until surface you want), then spray with color. Get a quality paint and multi coat it.
