2.5l jeep tj. i got these 2 codes on my obdll reader i know that they both say o2 sensor but the p0135 says upstream o2 sensor heating element malfuction i'm not sure what this is.. i was wondering if i installed a new o2 sensor would this solve my problem? there is a o2 sensor on my down pipe right after my exaust manifold and it seems to be another sensor between my catalytic converter and muffler. is this a 02 sensor as well? help needed asap please thanks

All the newer O2 sensors manufactured are heated O2 sensors. As a rule, Upstream means, closest to the engine. Downstream is farthest from the engine(after Catalytic converter). If the Vehicle is equipped with a total of 4 O2 sensors, 2 upstream and 2 downstream, the code will read a 1/1 and 1/2 (Driver side) or 2/1 and 2/2 (passenger side).. In most cases, replacement of the O2 sensor will solve the problem granted that the connectors and wires are okay..
