69jeepcj New member Nov 25, 2012 #2 They used to stamp them on the side of the engine block, I dont know about the newer cars though. Should be about a 7 diget number.

superj Well-known member Nov 26, 2012 #4 They do still put it on the side. That 98 4.0 i bought had the date stamp on the driver's side by the flywheel end of the block
