Opinions on Detroit EZ Locker

Thinking about picking up a Detroit EZ Locker for the front end of my '06 TJ. I don't get it off-road as much as I'd like (thanks in part to Paragon being closed for the time being), and I'd like to preserve my Jeep's on-road manners. Reading the literature, it sounds like the EZ Locker would be perfect for my needs, but I wanted to get some opinions from some people who (hopefully) have some experience with it - is it worth the money? Does it perform reasonably well? Is there another comparable product that may work better for me?

Go with lock-rite instead. have seen ez-lockers break pins and springs alot. Also no matter what some may say you will feel drag some sterring issues in the front end if you lock it up without some way to disconect.(hubs or selectable. arb/ox. etc.)

Like yjdave said don't go with EZ locker. They are junk! I know---I now have a 250 dollar paper weight. My buddy bought a Aussie locker at the same time I bought the ez locker and his is holding up so far and much quieter.

If I had it to do over again, I would just save more money and buy a E-locker so I could turn it off and on.

Something else for you to think about---winter driving in snow with lunch-box locker will be a handful.
