HI to all..

for a long while now I've had a stalling problem I went allover different forums trying to find a solution. Tried many fixes like cutting the cover screws on the ECM in half or tying the cable harness. And did not work.

So after a LOT of trouble shooting fond that the screws the hold the cover would get loose after a while causing the cover to vibrate more then normal this created a false connection condition. the would cause the stalling.

(I should mentinon that my ECM has aconector on the inside of the Cover).

So my solution that has been working for more that a week was to fill rhe holes with Loctite THREAD LOCKER BLUE 242 then used a hot air gun to speed up the drying process and got new screws that were the same lenght BUT bigger diameter.

hope this helps some else.

NOW A CAN CONTINUE TO FIX OTHER PROBLEMS. LIKE THE WILL NOT ACCELARATE IF i PRESS THE GAS TO FAST i HAVE TO PRESS IT SLOWLY.
ANY IDEAS FOR THAT ONE?

THANKX=S

I have a quick question. Would your jeep stall at idle or at a specific point? I have a 97 grand that will constantly stall at idle but not every time. I have tried everything I can think of but have not tried this.

well mine would turn off when ever it wanted on Idle at stop light, running... first make sure that it is your ECM get some one to help you move the cables while you turn the car on and see if there is any difference in its behavior. if
there is then try it.
good luck

1st I had the same problem and I bit the bullet and replaced the ECM board from a company out of florida. You can look them up on EBAY! I am having another problem and I paid for the diagnosis. I have a bad fuel pump. So now I am trying to figure out which After Market is the best sub for this $550.00 part. Check to see if you are getting pressure upon turning the key. This is the pressure that pushes gas to the engine.

Well after spending way too much money it was a loose plug on the ecu that i had to zip tie
