As long as you have 10psi for every thousand RPM you should be good .

and your oil pressure goes up when you rev and down when at idle because the pump is driven off the crank.

the check engine light comes on and warning sound. should i not worry?

yes, i would worry then. you have enough oil in the engine, right? if so, then your pump either has a clogged, or partially clogged pick up screen or its on is way out.

driving will result in damage to your bearings and rotating assemblies in the engien

I pushed the wires into the sending unit, seems to be working ok. thanks for your help.
