I have a 91' Wrangler YJ. Factory everything (unfortunately). with the 2.5 L (I4) engine - 4 cylinder
I am getting oil in the air filter. I have to change the air filter every two weeks as opposed to every oil change. Not a huge deal affecting performance, but a real hassle, as well as it cuts down on my gas mileage.
I thought maybe the pvc valve was just clogged up, but when I bought one to replace it with, I couldn't find it in the jeep. Apparently that model/year doesn't have one. I checked with the dealer and they said it the same thing. The next thing I tried was to unclog the air hose coming out of the engine, thinking that maybe if that was gummed up it would cause pressure and force oil back the other vent into the air filter. The hose piece was clogged up with carbon build up but after unclogging it I still get oil in the air filter.
Any ideas??? Anybody have the same trouble? [addsig]
