Np 207

Hey, just wondering if anyone could tell me why the np207 transfer case is supposed to be such a p.o.s.? Just wondering if I should upgrade now while I am building the Jeep or let it be for now. Works great.

i have heard about its supposed weakness , but i run a mopar 360 off of a tf 727 and it takes all i have gave it up to now . the np 231 isnt all that much different to my knowledge.

From what I've heard they're good strong transfer cases.

They're ok if well maintained, there just isn't any aftermarket support for it.

That V8 would have a NP208 which is twice the strength or more of a NP207
