ok so I'm new on here but my jeep broke down this morning and i was looking to see what went wrong with it. I have a 95 cherokee with a 3" lift and 33's on it. i was driving this morning and my dash started to rattle and i figured maybe it was just because its older and it has its little noises and then all of a sudden it felt like something was holding my tire. i pulled into a parking lot and i put it into reverse and it went back fine and then i put it into drive and drove forward and it started vibrating and wouldn't really move. I really dont know much about cars and i was going to take it to the shop but i wanted to get some idea before i take it there and they tell me everything under the sun is wrong with it.

I would say you've got transmission and/or transfer case problems. I don't know enough about them to diagnose what specific failure might cause your problems

I do have problem with my transfer case, it grinds whenever i put it into 4 wheel. would that have caused this problem?

which tire is it that feels like it is stuck in place or is it all of them? and if you could get someone to watch u drive it and see if it is literly stopping the wheel or just grinding behind the wheel

Either in the drivetrain or the brakes are grabbing. If you have a chain driven gears in your t.case, it's possible that its bound up.

so my dad looked at it and i guess the motor mounts broke right off. the motor was almost sideways in there. thanks for the help and suggestions tho
