Have the 2.5 in a 97 TJ the jeep runs great except when, and keep it mind it only happens sometimes. It's a stick also anyway when i start off in first gear the engine sounds like it is not fireing all four pistons like it skips one or two. Any input would be appreciated it might just be user error but I have been driving an manual for about 4 years
 
The engine sounds like it's not firing all four cylinders idk how else to describe it it only does this in first gear

1. One possible cause: Crank-shaft sensor! Avg total cost installed ~$200,

However, this problem usually causes starting problems!

Hoook up to a diag machine & check the erroe code
