NO HEAT

I have a jaap yj 95 that has no heat. The heater still produces heat and on the highway it shoots a little out due to the wind being forced through. But there is no blowing action and I think it is an electrical problem. I have had problems with the in dash wiring. The fuse for the fan blower blows every time i replace it and then try to turn it on. On one occasion the blower worked for a few seconds and then blew the fuse. I don't know where to begin diagnosing this, but any help would be very appreciated.

sounds like you have a short somewhere. check the wire running to the motor under the hood (the motor is on the passenger side of the fire wall). also check the wires under the dash.

Take a piece of wire and make a jumper then hook to the positive post of the battery and remove the wire mentioned above. touch the terminal. If the fan motor jumps into action then it may be the switch or the wireing. If so for a bandaide fix hook you up a toggle switch and run from the batter while you figure it out. At least you will be warm. tug
