Hey Guys new here from NY. I just got my Jeep on the road. Had a rebuilt title from Vt, what a PITA! I have a white 94 Wrangler 4.0, 5spd with 3.55's. I put a jvc deck in, wired up the sound bar, boston speakers and going to be durabak'ing the interior. I plan on lifting it with the 4in Rough Country, shackles, sway bar disconnects, Flowmaster 40 and 32 Duratracs.

I do have a few questions though...

1.) I noticed my right rear axle shaft flange is bent would an XJ shaft fit or do I have to use a YJ one?
2.) My interior dome lights dont work, the dimmer switch for the guages work(they go bring and dim), when it goes all the way up they dont come on. I can hear it click but nothing. The bulbs arent burnt and the door push things are connected. My guess its a relay?

I don't know of a dome light relay, but my "95 has aftermarket interior lights. How about a fuse?

I'd pull a bulb & check for voltage & ground there...If no voltage there check at the switch terminal...verify the switch is closing when in the on position....if switch is good & ground is good at the bulb socket, but no 12v at the socket then you'll have to track through the wiring between the 2. The wiring diagram does show a splice...that may be another place to test. Good luck & let us know what you find.

I checked the bulb socket with the volt meter with the dimmer all the way up and nothing. So my guess the dimmer switch is gone? Theres no relays in there?

Follow the wiring from the dome lamp all the way to the switch. There should be a splice or connector along the way to the front. Use the test light to verify the circuit as you go along. IF the fuse is good and it worked before, chances are something came loose.

Thats quite possible. You can check the circuit from the switch going to the dome lamp if a 12volt is present on the dome lamp circuit.

No an XJ rear shaft will not fit. D35 versus 8.25 or D44.. if it is an older XJ which had the D35, No, those are non c-clip axles, your is a c-clip.

So i tested my switch and noticed i didnt have anything volts on the yellow wire. my guess the switch is shot? but i do have guage lights that will go bright to dim.

Correct. Check all of them. Make sure you also check it from the dome lamp as well. This is just for verification of continuity.

Its just wierd how the two out side wires (pink and black and yellow- I think those are the two) have volts when i turn the head lights on but nothing with the yellow. Could I run that black ground from the switch to another wire self tapped ground to the dash and keep the yellow hooked up and turn the dimmer all the way up for the dome lights?

I don't have access to the FSM right now but what is the yellow wire supposed to be?. If you have a schematic diagram please post it so i cam look at it.

The yellow wire leads to the dome light on the driver and passenger sides. I'm thinking about tapping the black wire and grounding it again, to see if it works.
