New RIBI in the driveway.

Well I finally gave up on my dodge pickup and traded it in. I needed a good daily driver to go to work. Need a vehicle under warranty cause I dont have the time to work on another truck(I already have two jeep projects Iam working on.) Since I didnt want to spend alot like on a grand cherokee or other suv i could only come up with the obvious choice. Get a Rubicon. What else would you buy. Convertable, gets you to work in any weather, better gas milage than the others, and all it needs to go offroading is skid plates and a lift. The 4:10 gears are itching for bigger tires and the lockers are great. The 4.0 trans case feels great. I know alot of you think for the price you could build a better truck but I dont know. For an out of the box truck I think its hard to beat. After driving it for the last two weeks and It snowing the first day I got it I fell in love with it. I do have to say one thing. My 1993 wrangler runs pretty good compared to the new rubi. The leaf spring ride seems softer and i feel better beatin on my old truck then the new one.

glad to hear you are happy with the rubi! i still say you could have built something better for the price of a new rubi but hey not all of us have that kinda of time to put into the build-up. have fun in the rubi!

ya ive been trying 2 get my dad 2 trade his tahoe in for a rubicon...he doesnt want to though because he has no where to put his golf clubs

if he bought a rubicon... he would not even consider thinking about using his time for golf

Slab42 has a 03 Rubi. It is indeed pretty capable. We took him on a rip with all lifted rigs and his stock rubi and it was always there!

Did you get the auto or manual? I changed my CJ to an auto for trail use. Seems like the 4:1 case would be better with the manual. I guess it is personal preference.

If you flip the rear seat up their is room for his golf clubs.
