:?: Wanting to get me a jeep wrangler and do some off roading. Any suggestions on engine, (4 cyl vs. 6 cyl), transmission (auto vs manual), rear end, tires, etc.
Thanks

I have a TJ (97-current) with a 6 cyl (4.0) and a 5 speed. I spent a little extra and got the sport edition with a Dana 44 rear end. I wheeled it for almost 3 years before I spent any money on tires or lift kits. They're great vehicles straight off the lot. Of course you'll have to put up with a lot of people here who think TJ's aren't real Jeeps. The main difference is that they have coil springs unlike all the older models that are leaf sprung. If you're driving this vehicle on a daily basis I'd go for comfort and get the TJ. Just one Jeepers opinion.

You will get lots of suggestions around here, that's for sure. Are you looking to buy new, used, yj, cj?

And Welcome to Jeepz!
