New Home! Needing ideas for making room in my gargage for "Black Betty"

After being forced out of the place we'd been leasing for 12 years, we finally, at 50, bought (buying) our first home, 2 hole garage. The move as y'all can imagine was quite a rush and "Betty" is languishing under flattened boxes, belongings and other crud. I'm planning on pulling out everything and custom build shelves out of lumber and plywood I've been saving but some ideas & pics for wall and overhead shelves will sure be helpful!

Thanks and a lift of the lynch lid.

I know all about tight garages - I put a bumper pad on my wall because I have to pull my Jeep in until the front bumper contacts the back wall in order to shut the garage door.
I ended up going with 4 sets of the cheap white cabinets, and three wire shelves (you can only see the bottom two in the photo). It's tough having a small garage, but it also keeps you from collecting too much stuff you really don't need.

most people just use a tennis ball on a string so they know where to stop lol, i knew a guy on the cherokee forum who does the same thing he has a patch of rubber on the wall so he stops when his stinger hits

Right on thanks Terry! As of right now the garage door opener won't work on account of all the stuff I have piled in the garage.
