Ok i got a 83 cj7 with 31s. I wanted to go up to either 33s or 35s but i want to do it as cheaply as possible. I also want to know if my stock axles will hold up with the 33s or 35s. Any help would be great[addsig]

if you put 1 piece axles in the rear they should if you dont beat it too hard[addsig]

for a cheap lift, if you have access to a knowledgeable welder, the SOA (spring over axle) is pretty cheap the most expensive part of that is the new perches and shocks. Or you could go with a 2.5 spring and a 3 inch body, or a 4 inch spring and 1 inch body to clear the 35's.

just my 2 cents

Best of luck :-D [addsig]

HI... I am running a 4" lift with 1" daystar and have plenty of room for 35's... Total I have about $600 in both lifts...[addsig]

There is no real way to do it cheap because after you get the larger tires on you will notice you have lost a lot of power. You will want to regear the diffs to get that power back and getting the ring and pinion aligned isnt easy, so more money to a shop for the diff work. [addsig]
