Need help - No key

I would like to get detailed inst. on how to R&R the key cyl in the steering column of a 82 CJ7. Also what tool I will need to take with me. the jeep in nowhere close to my tool box, cow camp out in the middle of nowhere.:?:

You will need a steering wheel puller, and I think its called a lock plate removal tool. The removal tool is for removing the flat plastic peice under the steering wheel. Once that is off I believe you have access to the ignition cylinder, it just slides out. Its been awhile since I replaced one, and was shocked at how easy it came out once I had the right tool.. You have to have that removal tool..
Take some small screw drivers with you for the horn and such. Autozone and the likes have free tool rentals, thats where I got my puller and removal tool. If you have never used there tool rental, you pay for it up front but get all your money back once you return the tool.
