Recently got a 76 CJ5 with a 3 inch susp lift, whoever lifted it used 1 inch spacers between the skid plate and the frame to lower the T-case, does anyone know if that's even necessary with that amount of lift, or maybe not enough ?
I just did a 2 1/2" lift on my yj and drove it around the block and noticed bad vibration and noise coming from the u joints, so went and dropped the t case about an 1" and 1/4 and seems to be fine now. The rear drive shaft was put at a very steep angle after just a 2 1/2" lift that I would say who ever lifted yours probably did it for the same reasons. Hope this helps.
