I currently just got back from deployment while i was gone my wife tried supriseing me with a new radiator in my jeep, it was a great suprise exspecially when i noticed that when it got cold the water froze in it and had cracked my intake, she didnt know about antifreeze. I have a 85 cj7 with a 2.5. I cant find a intake for it anywhere does anybody have an idea where i could find one.

First of all, thanks for your servicce. I am a little concerned about what else may have been damage. Did the freeze plugs pop? Your best bet to find an OEM manifold is the junk yard, Craigs List, and ebay unfortunetly. There has to be some kicking around from removed engines for transplants. Some of the bone yards are on a national system where they can locate parts for you that they don't have so you might try that.

One more thing, the 1985 CJ is an AMC version of the I4, not the GM Iron Duke so make sure you get the right one. On the AMC I4 the intake and the exhaust manifolds are on the same side (drivers) of the engine where the GM I4 has the intake on one side and the exhaust on the other.

Just want to say thanks for the info. I got the amc motor and as far as what was destroyed im not sure the freeze plugs didnt pop for some reason so im just hopeing for the best.
