Ok I have been saving up fopr a lift but am unsure of what type or how high. I have an '04 rubicon completely stock and would like to fit 35" tires on it. I drive 90% on-road and 10% off-road but plan to get more serious in the future. What lift or lift combo would you reccomend. I have been looking at RE HD 5.5" or a rough country 4" lift. I am looking for a durable, lift that has good off-road and on-road capabilities. Thanks for all the help. Also, would you reccomend settling for a RE BB and just going big once i really get into off-roading or going all the way now? Thanks agian.

If you have the money. You could go for a long arm kit.Anything over 5 inches or so will turn your jeep into a bear on the road.If you still want to keep good drivability but dont have the money to do a long arm.You could always do a 4 inch lift and 33's.Very capable and looks sweet!

4" doesn't give you much clearence for 35's, I have seen it. it aint pretty. 2" susp and 2" body and the tires pretty well FILLEd the gap LOL.

Thanks for all the help and i am a noobie and have only wheeled a little bit. also i have little to no mechanical experience. I do not plan on buying the lift until after summer(funding) should i go with the RE BB and see how that goes? Also is there anyone around Louisiana that rides?

once you get under there and start to study it you will find that is pretty easy to figure out and with the folks at Jeepz guiding you you will have no trouble doing it yourself.

Get the budget boost and 32" tires, it's best that your jeep grows as your experience grows, helps keep you safe and out of trouble that way.

After a few years of wheelin and learnin, you can sell the budget boost and go bigger.

Careful with that Rubi, I've seen them air lockers get inexperienced wheelers in well over their heads. Just use your head.

Im from Louisiana ... close to Alexandria but I go to school in Ruston... get back to me if you live close ... I got a shop and all the tools youll need.. might cost you a case or two ...Im also pretty new to the Jeep stuff.. there are riding clubs in Shereveport and Baton Rouge , but not close enough for me ...
