A good friend of mine had bought a '98 Cherokee brand new with the Up Country suspension, a 1" or 1.5" suspension lift from the factory. It had a rear driveshaft vibe so he took it into the dealership. The Warranty fix was a transfer case lowering kit.
'97+ Cherokee's are very prone to rear driveshaft vibes with any amount of lift and will most likely need the rear driveline angles corrected. You could lift a pre-'97 quite a bit and not worry about vibes.
