Lift and shocks

you can use them but you might have a rough ride on bumpy roads because as the suspension drops on the low side, the shocks will bottom out and stop movement resulting in a jarring ride. but they will be ok for normal stuff.

i would use them for a while, myself

If u do a 2" body lift it won't effect the shocks or ride at all and u still get the tire clearance.

As stated above, they will be fine on road but your suspension will not flex as well off road. Use them for now.

anyone know where I can get air shocks for the rear of my 99 wrangler. I've looked all over the place..Gabriel and Monroe have waft I want but they dont fit..I have a diamond plate toolbox that sometimes rides on the receiver and I'd like to pump them up thx

you mean air springs. basically a supplemental rubber bladder that get installed inside the rear coil and under heavy load you can air up to compensate for the weight.

Firestone and Air-lift are the way to go.

If you want a replacement shock that can help support a load, I personally do not think it is a good idea since the shock mounts on a jeep were never designed to support any weight, but I ran a set of shocks with a coil spring on the rear of my pickup years back to help with overloads. I got them from JC whitney and they were moderately effective at best. I ended up going with Air-lift set up.

ya, thanks. I may have to go with something like that or just leave them alone. I don't carry the toolbox all the time. Gabriel skyjackers or Monroe AirMax look like what I want but they don't fit. thanks for the link
