Hello all, new Jeep owner (2007 Sahara) today I installed the top and it poured later in the day, when i got in the water was running in from the top front of the driver and passanger door, did i insatll it wrong or is this a known prob and is there any solutions I can use to fix it ?

you might have installed it wrong, your local jeep dealer should have a video showing you how to install your factory soft top.
Check with them if its a factory soft top, if its a best top check there web site for detailed how to instructions on installing it.
Or if you can snap a few pictures and attach them as attachments we can step you through it.

I called the Dealer today and they sugested I bring it in on Monday so today I will take some pics of where I think its leaking and post them later, thanks for your help.
couldnt make it to the dealer on Monday so I went today, it is a factory top , the Tech said it wasnt snapped in correctly :???:I dont know I went over it several times to check, oh well guess ill have to wait for rain to know for sure, again thanks for your input.

For a quick test there is always the car wash...
went to a friends yesterday and giver the hose,started leaking on passenger side, came to the conclusion that its not the roof but the rubber seal around the door, got myself a piece of 1/8 rubber striping, going to put it behind the door seal to push it out a bit hopefully it will create the required seal, will tese it this weekend.

Ok the next question is is the window frame moving in the door? There is three plastic inserts (Door pin inserts)that go into the door where the window frame slides into. Are they loose in the door or on the window frame? These could be the culprit not holding the window tight against the window surround frame.
Take a quick look at these to see. If they are its a cheap fix, 8.99$ from Quadratec.

That is acually common. My brother also has a 2007 with a leak i those exact spots. The seals for that model suck.
So u r not alone in this. You can try to replace the seals, i know that the dealers (at least up here) will not replace them even though it is a freaking annoying factory defect.
