Leaf spring help

Found a guy that has a set of 4" lift leaf springs for front and back. They came off a cj7 would they work on a cj5??? What's something to look for when buying used springs?

I know the '76-'86 cj5,cj7,cj8 share the same springs. Not sure about earlier models. To check the springs I just stand them up next to each other on the the spring eyes and make sure there the same length and have the same arch.

Oh and be sure to check for cracked or broken leafs.

If you don't pick them up, I have a set of brand new 4" springs for the CJ also.. I plan on doing the 2" or 2 1/2" on my CJ.. depending on where your located, the other may be closer and you didn't mention price, trade, or ?

oh man, all the guys on lone star and txwd that live up there ought to have something in the garage. there are so many jeep people up in northern texas, its unbelievable.

it sound good to me because springs are about 100 each if you buy them seperately
