I just purchased an 88 Cherokee from my baby bro. The problem that it has is that it dies about every 10 miles or so. All the electrical is working so I was wondering if anyone had any ideas as to where to start? Thanks

no... you have to let it sit for couple of hours then it starts right up for another 10 miles or so.

nothing, just dies, I don't even think it is getting that hot. I haven't paid much attention to that.

When it dies, have you checked for fuel and fire?. This will help us get in a direction where we can start giving you ideas and some diagnostic test.

I had a 89 that did same it was the cam crank sensor let it run till it dies spray the cam crank sensor with cold water for a minute or so then see if it starts back up.

The CPS is near the top of the trans bellhousing, just behind the head on the driver's side of the motor/trans joint.
